Just brilliant!
A brilliant, daft, slightly intense, but very funny show in an intimate temporary venue - well worth going to see!
It's a show that's very much in-tune with the genuine spirit of the Fringe... Not just because it's in a small, independently run yurt with no actual stage - but because it's a fine example of bold, experimental comedy performed by a little-known and yet talented comic.
I've seen Ollie Horn at the Edinburgh Comedy Fest a few times; initially watching him hosting the improv panel show Not My Audience, and then also seeing his solo stand-up show last year.
Being familiar with Horn's usual style of humour, the start of the show confused me.
I found myself quite taken aback, thinking 'Oh dear, Ollie's had a breakdown'.
Then I quickly realised what he's doing - and he does it very well!
The show is fundamentally a satirical character and stand-up show about the worst bloke(s) you ever meet.
The types we've all seen in bars and nightclubs...
The most vain, chauvinistic, self-obsessed men out there. The aftershave-drenched, skinny-jean wearing, Love Island-watching guys who are just one failed
chat-up line away from appearing on Naked Attraction.
And through his performance, Horn does a great job of showing them up for the infuriating idiots they are!
It's a difficult character act for a guy to do and still be reliably funny for both men and women but the night I saw him, he certainly pulled it off!
There were smiling, laughing faces all-round.
Occasionally he would slip out of character and you would see the real Ollie underneath, which made his mockery of toxic, sexist men even funnier.
This combined with punchlines he absolutely nails whilst fully in the persona makes for a hugely enjoyable,
laugh-out-loud hour of comedy!
All this being said, I will not ignore the issue of the inherent subjectivity of humour...
If YOU are easily offended, or don't like rude or sexual humour, this show is NOT for you.
If YOU are uneasy with risqué, blue, 'dirty' or lewd jokes - or you're a woman who's easily embarrassed and is nervous about / uncomfortable with audience interaction, this is NOT the show for you.
If however none of the above applies, and you want to see a nice bloke gleefully and excellently satirise those idiotic men who every reasonable and rational person dislikes, go and see this show!
You'll be missing-out if you don't.

Absolute class show, laughed so much! Pissing rain and in a Yurt with a random bunch of folk and a guy hitting on the birds smoking a vape - that's the fringe!
If you don't like bold/risky comedy it's not for you. If your boring and easily offended, it's really really not for you!
Can't wait to see Ollie next year!

Very funny. Quite unnerving in a way, so convincingly it is performed.

If you're looking for a night filled with laughter and unforgettable moments, I highly recommend catching this show. You won't be disappointed! It's one of the most hilarious shows!
Looking forward to watch it again next year with friends!

Loved it! Biting satire about the worst guy you know. Hated the first 30 seconds before I realised it was in fact satire and the guy isn’t just toxic.
Very funny, intimate show, nailed the character perfectly.

Incredibly misogynistic, claiming it's irony and vulnerability. Spent half the show doing crowd work that negged young women when the audience was already 80% men and it was clear the women were uncomfortable, then gaslit anyone who tried to speak up. In all the dozens of shows I've seen at Fringe over the years, never have I seen something so horribly offensive, tone deaf, and wildly inappropriate.
This comic doesn't belong at Fringe, really not in the spirit of the festival and honestly shouldn't be performing anywhere.
Do not recommend.

Looking forward to seeing Ollie's toxic comedy again next year! Witty stuff by a Trumpesque chauvinist looking for his own future ex-trophy wife. Show recommended to all who want to experience the non threatening charm and giggles of a sexist-yet-feminist man child!

Can I be vunerable with you guys? A funny-off-the-bat and intense show providing a well-observed pastiche of the most annoying love-island-watching, Tate-inspired, failed pick-up artist you are lucky enough not to know.
Not for the faint-hearted! Highly recommend, would watch again.
